NAUT 55001 - Fast Rescue Boat
Course Description
This course entails classroom and practical training to mariners who are required to have the Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW) 2010 Chapter VI Section A-VI/2 Table A-VI/2-2 Certification for Proficiency in Fast Rescue Boats and section A-VI/2, paragraphs 7 through 12, Table A-VI/2-2, and are certificated in accordance with 46 § CFR 12.10-9.
This course fully complies with United States Coast Guard (USCG) Navigation and Vessel Inspection Circular (NVIC) 05-14 CH-1, titled “Guidelines for Qualification for STCW Endorsements for Proficiency in Fast Rescue Boats”, and NVIC 03-14 titled “Guidelines for Approval of Training Courses and Programs”.
A student who successfully completes this course will, after passing the prescribed examinations and successfully performing the required proficiencies using current equipment, be able to efficiently operate a rescue boat as designed by each Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and their OEM Operation Manuals.
