This level is not recommended for those with a native Spanish speaking background. A beginning Spanish series designed to develop skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing to the point where a student can communicate on a basic level with a sympathetic native speaker. Students will acquire basic vocabulary and structures of Spanish and develop an understanding of its cultural context.
