Course Description

Note: It shall be the policy of this school that all students provide appropriate photo identification upon enrollment.

This course will satisfy the Watchkeeping and SMCP training requirements of 46 CFR 11.309(a)(4)(ix) for an STCW endorsement as Officer in Charge of a Navigational Watch on vessels of 500 or more gross tonnage (ITC) and 46 CFR 11.319(a)(4)(iii) for an STCW endorsement as Officer in Charge of a Navigational Watch on vessels of less than 500 gross tonnage (ITC).  The following practical assessments performed during this course have been determined to be equivalent of National Assessment Guidelines Tasks, as documented in NVIC 12-14 (Ch-1) Guidelines on Qualifications for Officer In Charge of a Navigational Watch on Vessels of 500 GT or More: 2.1.A - 2.6.A and 7 .1.A.
