Course Description

Prerequisite: ITSC 1305 or department chair approval

Note: Textbook is required

This course is a study of current personal computer hardware, including personal computer assembly and upgrading, setup and configuration, and troubleshooting. Major topics include an overview of the computer system, installing and configuring hardware and software, troubleshooting hardware and software problems, management of the computer’s resources (including hard drive space and memory), data storage on hard drives, data recovery methods, and installing peripheral equipment.
