Course Description

Industrial Safety and Technical Fundamentals:  This course covers various safety related issues that arise in industrial settings including health, security, and environmental factors.  A broad array of topics will be addressed including management systems as well as the handling of hazardous materials, personal protective equipment, noise, ventilation issues, and accident investigations.  Other necessary technical fundamentals such as understanding engineering and technical drawings including process flaw diagrams and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) will be covered. 

The course will be delivered in a hybrid format with 24 hours of online instruction and 24 hours of lab time. The lab days are as follows:  TBD..  Additional lab days may be opened depending on enrollment.

No textbook is required.  Participants must have access to a computer with an internet connection and a printer.

Late self-registrations are allowed through Sept. 6.  Late registrations are allowed through Sept. 9 with special permission.
