Course Description

This course covers wiring methods used for industrial installations. It includes motor circuits, raceway and bus way installations, proper grounding techniques, and associated safety procedures.  Upon completion of the course, students will be able to interpret electrical blueprints/drawings; compute circuit sizes and overcurrent protection for the installation of branch circuits, feeders, and service entrance conductors; explain the proper installation of wiring devices according to electrical codes; demonstrate grounding methods; identify industrial wiring methods including conduit bending; and demonstrate proper safety procedures.
