Course Description

SAF General Industry is designed to train you on the basic safety rules to satisfy regulations, introduce you to the practices necessary to perform your work safely in a heavy industrial construction or maintenance contract environment, and reinforce that knowledge in more experienced workers. The course will cover: What to expect upon entering a jobsite; Rules for safely moving around on a jobsite; General information on doing the job safely; Emergency response procedures. Topics include: General Safety; Hazard Communication; Personal Protective Equipment; Hearing Conservation; Respiratory Protection; Elevated Work and Fall Protection; Electrical Safety for the Non-Qualified Worker; Job Safety Analysis; Trenching and Excavation; Process Safety Management.
