Course Description

Prerequisites: None. Note: Internet access, e-mail, and the Internet Explorer or Netscape or Firefox Web browser required. This is a combination of 2 courses 1) Medical Terminology: A Word Association Approach - This course teaches medical terminology according to each body system. Multiple graphics, study tips, and unusual facts make for a most enjoyable course. The second course 2) Medical Terminology II: A Focus on Human Disease - This course teaches medical terminology discussing diseases of all 11 organs of the human body. As progress is made through the course, you will learn new prefixes, root words and suffixes. The organ systems will be reviewed and the related terminology, diseases, diagnostic procedures, and treatments will be discussed. There's also a pronunciation guide in the program. By the end of this course, you will have an increased knowledge of medical terminology as well as a greater understanding of human disease.
